Leeds United met Notts Reserves in the Midland League competition at Meadow Lane, Nottingham on Saturday, and after
a fine game managed to divide the spoils. The Magpies started well, but Currie shot wide, and after Leeds had been driven back
Fletcher got in a beautiful shot, which Rounds disposed of. Just before the interval Bedford tested Fisher with an effort the
goalkeeper cleared at the second attempt. Half time arrived with the scores still blank. Play was exciting upon the resumption and
at the end of twenty minutes Notts were awarded a free-kick from which Johnson scored , and ten minutes later Bedford equalised.
